And the sky looked like pink cotton candy | arty Monday

I’ve been obsessed with a youtuber called MsRosieBea. She uploads the most amazing videos and I can’t stop watching her. I binge-watched all of her videos and found a video called Paint with me. Rosie has some great art skills and I loved watching her paint. Because of that I really wanted to do a painting on my own and that’s what I did.

Thank you Mama for buying me some paint so I was able start my new obsession.

I was thinking about what I wanted to paint and I really liked the sea-painting of Rosie so I decided to go for something like that. But because I am so pink-obsessed and just love this colour so much I wanted to go for a pink-red-y landscape.

Painting is so relaxing. I really loved the process of creating a whole painting myself. In school I had arts but at some point I didn’t enjoy it anymore because I didn’t want to paint for grades, I just loved doing it for fun.

After these years of not painting anything I realised how much I missed being creative in that way and how much I missed doing something creative with my hands. I really recommend taking some time for yourself and just paint and don’t think about anything else.

I was scared that I didn’t like the end result, but I love it so much. I am really proud of it and I immediately hang it on my wall in my room and I love looking at it and knowing that I painted this myself.

Unicorn advent calendar | DIY

Last year I decided to create an advent calendar for my mum. I tried to do this in the past multiple times but always failed after a few days. I didn’t fail last year and my mum loved her calendar so much that I wanted to create another one for her this year.

I was thinking about using the old calendar again until I went on Pinterest and found the cutest gift idea. This person created unicorns out of toilet rolls to put them on the table or to fill them with stuff to give them away as a present. I loved the idea and so I decided to make a calendar out of toilet roll.

I love unicorns, I think most of you know that. My mum knows that I love them and because of that we are constantly sending each other the unicorn emoji on WhatsApp. And after sending thousands of them my mum loves unicorns too. We even got a unicorn cushion and it’s the best thing ever.

I collected twenty-four toilet rolls over the weeks and decorated them until they looked like cute little unicorns. I had so much fun doing this and styled each unicorn a little different.

I knew straight-away what I wanted to put in this calendar. Of course I can only go for smaller things because a toilet roll doesn’t give much space to put things in it, but I am really happy with what I got. I only need 6 little things until the calendar is finished, but I still have a few days so it should be fine.

I can’t describe how excited I am to give this calendar to my mum. She doesn’t have a clue that I am doing a calendar again this year and I just can’t wait to see what she thinks of this one.

I didn’t want to show you everything I got my mum because I don’t want to ruin the surprise and accidentally show her the pictures of the things, but I am going to upload each present I got her on my Instagram account in December as a  little advent-insta-calendar-thing, which I am really excited for.

As always let me know what you think of this DIY in the comments below.

DIY Photo Wall Hanging

I saw this DIY everywhere on Pinterest. I love a good DIY-session so I just had to give this a try and I had so much fun building this together.

First of all you have to choose 9 pictures that you want to hang on to your wall. I chose 18 because I crafted a pink and a blue version of this. After that I cut them out and placed them in the right order.

Instead of a wood-thing I used two straws and I tied the pictures with some string around them. This is really easy to do and I love the colour-scheme I went for.

I think this turned out so cute and amazing! I am obsessed with this and I always smile when I look at it on my wall. You really need to recreate this too.

I hope you liked this DIY post. Let me know what you think of it in the comments below.

Spooky cookies – I see you

These are probably the best cookies I’ve ever made. I love Rosanna Pansino from Nerdynummies. She shares some great recipes and her chocolate chip cookie recipe is just the best thing ever. I love to make them, but because it’s October, I wanted to create some spooky ones and I am really happy with how they turned out.

I call them I see you because I draw some little eye balls on top of them. I saw these candy eyes and wanted to buy them, but my supermarket doesn’t sell them so I created them myself.

I used some icing sugar and water and piped some dots on to my cookies. Then I took some chocolate chips and placed one on each icing dot and finished were my eyes.

I love my spooky cookies so much. I am more of the cute spooky person.
