Get the Lo(o)k[i]

So we don’t really celebrate Halloween in Germany. I see all these amazing Halloween outfit videos and posts, snack ideas, party ideas… . I really want to witness Halloween in America one day, I think it’s just epic. But I don’t want to miss out on all the Halloween fun so today I have a Halloween get the look post for you. The challenge is to make it wearable so I don’t look like a freak when I walk outside because as I said nobody is caring about Halloween where I live.

I really love the marvel universe. I love watching these movies because they weirdly really calm me down and I forget everything for these 2 hours. I am really obsessed with spiderman at the moment but I love so many more.

The new thor movies comes out on the 31th of october, on Halloween and I am super excited for it.

Today I am doing a get the look for Loki from thor. I absolutely love Loki! He’s so hilarious and always makes me laugh so much. I love his relationship with thor and both actors are just so cool!

The major key-piece is the green jacket or shirt. I have this jacket for years now and really like it. Loki always wears something green so a green piece is a must-have. He also wears a lot of dark colours, so I went for a black shirt and some black pants.

Loki also wears a lot of gold things so to top this whole look I wore some black converse with some sparkly gold elements. You could even wear a gold necklace to finish this whole look.

I hope you liked this Get the look post. Let me know what you think of it in the comments below.

Spiderweb cake

I hate spiders, but I love the pattern of a spiderweb. I really love to bake Halloween themed goods and making this one was so much fun. This was also so so easy to make.

I used my trusty Zebra-cake recipe. It’s so delicious and as I said so easy to do.

I wanted to have an orange-black cake which didn’t work. But yellow-black looks cool too, am I right? Also can I just say how messy this was? I really hope you like this picture because I spent 15 minutes cleaning the table afterwards.

After the cake baked (and burned a little bit) I draw the spider’s web on top of it with a mixture of icing sugar and water. Again, this was quiet messy because my mixture was really watery but I love how it turned out.

I love this cake so much and it tasted so so good! Let me know what you think of it in the comments below.

Spooky cookies – I see you

These are probably the best cookies I’ve ever made. I love Rosanna Pansino from Nerdynummies. She shares some great recipes and her chocolate chip cookie recipe is just the best thing ever. I love to make them, but because it’s October, I wanted to create some spooky ones and I am really happy with how they turned out.

I call them I see you because I draw some little eye balls on top of them. I saw these candy eyes and wanted to buy them, but my supermarket doesn’t sell them so I created them myself.

I used some icing sugar and water and piped some dots on to my cookies. Then I took some chocolate chips and placed one on each icing dot and finished were my eyes.

I love my spooky cookies so much. I am more of the cute spooky person.

Halloween graveyard 🎃👻

Dan and phil baked a Halloween graveyard a few years ago. I love this video so much and I think their graveyard turned out amazing so I really wanted to try it out too.

But I followed a different recipe.

For my recipe you will need:

  • 250 grams dark chocolate
  • 200 grams soft butter
  • 125 grams sugar
  • 8 grams vanilla sugar ( 1 Päckchen bourbon vanille Zucker für die deutschen 😊)
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 75 grams flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 50 grams cocoa (powder )

Melt the chocolate in a bowl.

Whip the butter until it is smooth and creamy then add the sugar, vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt.

Add the eggs and mix until everything is good combained. Now it’s time to add the melted chocolate.

After you mixed everything together you can add the flour and ccocoa powder.

Bake the mixture at 160 to 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.

The brownie is really really chocolaty so it can be a little bit too much. If you don’t like that you should add less of the cocoa powder.

I sadly didn’t have time to decorate my brownies but now you can decorate it with cookies for the gravestones, lots of red icing for the blood and marshmallows for some ghosts. 🎃👻
