Birthday presents – DIY

It was my friend’s 20th birthday on Monday. We know us since school so for quiet a long time. She invinted me to her party and surprisingly I actually went to the party and stayed for 4 hours! I was quiet impressed with myself because I don’t really like parties, but this year there were only a few people and they seemed nice so it was good.

Of course I wanted to give her an amazing present. I love these glasses which include different dry ingredients. You add eggs or water and it turns into a dough for cookies, bred or literally anything.

My friend loves food, I mean who doesn’t and we’ve actually baked and cooked together before which was so much fun!

My friend’s birthday

So this present is perfect for her:

I also found this cute jar and filled it with tons of Smarties. I think this looks just so cute and who doesn’t love Smarties?!

I’ve also baked her a cake last year so I really wanted to bake her a cake again. I think it’s such a cute gift to give something baked. I went for a chocolate cake (recipe from ‘Love, Tanya – Sunday cake). I baked this cake for my mum this year too (left side) and now for my friend (right side). I love to play with different decorations and spice up the cakes.

This cake tastes so good and I could so eat this right now! I also love the chocolate letters. You can write ‘Happy Birthday’ like I did or something else.

All in all I had a nice evening and it was so nice to see my friend again after months. She liked the presents and the cake which made me happy.

I hope you enjoyed this post.

June favourites

Prepare yourself, it’s coming…. : I can’t believe another month passed already. But honestly, I can’t!!! How is it July already…. so so crazy. But this means I am sharing what I’ve been loving this past month with you today.

I love reading these kinds of post so as always let me know your favourite things from June in the comments or just link your June-favourites-blogpost in the comments.

As always I have to share my new favourite face masks with you. I am so in love with the Garnier face masks and I did a whole blog post about them so check it out here.

But there was another mask I completely fell in love with. I am a huge watermelon-fan so when I found this mask I just had to try it.

The most refreshing face mask

I really enjoy wearing a lipstick and especially red ones. But in my little lipstick collection a bright red lipstick was missing. Luckily I found one and it’s been my favourite thing to wear this last month!

My favourite red lipsticks

This month was so crazy for me in the bloggingsphere. Two amazing bloggers were so kind to give my blog a whole post of attention. They shared what they love about my blog and said such amazing kind things.

Cheila and Angela thank you so much for being so kind. I am so happy that I met you online. Love you!!

I also reached (can’t believe I am saying this) 400 followers! This is so exciting and still feels a bit unreal. Thank you so much to everybody who follows my blog and reads my posts about weird obsessions. Love you!

I found the most amazing and gorgeous dress in June. My amazing mum bought it for me and I love to wear it. It’s pink, it’s pretty, it’s perfect. I feel so special and nice in it and I’ve been just so obsessed wearing this.

The most gorgeous dress

I really loved wearing dresses in June. I felt so comfortable in them and because it was so hot where I live, dresses were just the perfect thing to wear.

Speaking of a pink dress I am still pink-obsessed and pink was my favourite colour in June too. One of my favourite posts that I uploaded this month was My pink obsession post where I went through my old pictures and found some amazing pink outfits.

Pink obsessed since 1997

I also loved wearing my ‘new’ sunglasses which I got in May and wanted to do a post about them but wasn’t happy with the pictures. I wanted to have these sunnies for so bad and I am so happy I got them.

Starting drinking them again was probably a bad mistake, but honestly I feel with the end of June my obsession with these ended a bit. But my mum used to make these for me in summer sometimes and it was just so nice making them again and they are so so tasty.

Chocolate milkshakes

I saw an amazing movie this month called ‘Before I fall’. I was planning on doing a review but then decided not to. It is one of the most amazing movies I’ve ever watched so if you’re interested in a review, let me know in the comments. I saw it together with my mum and she absolutely loved it too. It really is an amazing movie.

If you are following my blog for long enough you may have seen my Bookclub-posts. I talked about a book called ‘Everything Everything’ and this month my mum surprised me and my sister and we saw the movie together. The movie was really sweet and a nice watch, so I recommend checking it out.

I discovered a few songs this past month and I’ve been so so obsessed with them!

‘Power’ – Little Mix

‘Body like a Back road’ – Sam Hunt

‘When did your heart go missing’ – Rooney

‘New Romantics’ – Taylor Swift

‘Ride’ – Twenty one pilots

‘Chocolate’ – the 1975

If you read my May favourites you will know that I’ve been so obsessed with an iced-lolly with the name Cactus. Because of that I discovered my love for cacti and got a little bit obsessed with them. I shared a mini-cacti-series and had so much fun. Sorry to all of you who are cactus obsessed because of me now.

I am also still obsessed with the musical ‘Tanz der Vampire’. I wrote a few letters to my favourite actors and did get some responses. I also did something so fun which I am sharing with you next month.

HerbErt answered – vampire mail

I also loved watching YouTube videos of someone playing Mario kart. I loved playing it in the background whilst doing things. It was really relaxing and calming to watch. I am currently applying for Unis and felt so stressed and overwhelmed so watching this really calmed me down and gave me a moment to breathe. (his channel is called Domtendo)

And last but by far not least Pretty little liars. This month I saw the last episode of PLL. It is my favourite series and the last episode was just so emotional. I am so happy I was able to follow the journey of five amazing girls as well as the journey of so many other characters.

I would love to hear what your favourite posts of mine were this month. And if you want you can also share your favourite post of yours in the comments.

My cactus obsession – cactus cookies 🌵

If you read my May-favourites you know that I am recently so cactus obsessed because of an iced-lolly, yes. You know me and my obsessions….

Because of that I decided to start a little cactus-series to handle my new obsession. Last time I showed you my favourite cactus-prints (Check it out here).

So today I thought it was time for some baking.

I am going to bake some cactus shaped cookies.

For this you need a cactus-cookie-cutter or a picture (like me) and some mini flower pots.

Start by making and baking your cookies. I used my trusty sugar cookie recipe.

I let my cookies cool down and the added green icing on top.

May favourites

I can’t believe how fast this month went by! I know, everybody keeps saying that, but it’s so true! Because of that I thought I could share my May-favourites with you. I haven’t done one of these in literally ages! I am so excited to tell you what I’ve been loving this past month. Be sure to let me know your favourites in the comments.

Let’s start with:

I really got back into face masks this last month. As some of you might know I am face-mask-crazy. I finally tried the charcoal-peel-off mask and I am loving it. Personally I think it’s not that painful but for a better review check out my post here.

If you’re following Zoella, aka Zoe Sugg on social media you might read that Zoella Beauty is now available in Germany. I love Zoe’s products so much and I finally got my hands back on this particular favourite: The body scrub. I love using scrubs because my skin is so dry and this one feels so soft but does it’s job.

Another favourite of mine last month was this copper-lipstick. I am so copper obsessed, check out my special copper post here.

It’s so beautiful and I just want to wear it every single day.

I am also so obsessed with the colour pink and this month I finally got my hands around a pink-piece. This amazing shirt:

I also got back into stripes and bought myself this amazing shirt:

Although not everything I baked in May turned out that good, I still had so much fun spending my time in the kitchen. My favourite cake I’ve created this month was my mum’s birthday cake and the cookies I baked for Mother’s Day. You can check out the recipe and more pics here.

one of my biggest favourite this month was:

This takes me back to my childhood. I was so so obsessed with them and I am not too sure if it was a good decision to start eating them again. I love everything about this Iced-lolly. Especially  the green and red part used to be my favourites.

So obsessed with this picture!!!

I better don’t tell you how many of these I ate this month…. and I am for sure not stop eating them :D. They are just too delicious.

What’s your favourite iced-lolly? Let me know in the comments.

I’ve also been obsessed with watching the Harry Potter Pc games. As a child my whole family would sit around on the weekends and play year 1 and 2 together. I remember these times so good and they were one of my favs. I wanted to have the pc games back for so so bad but I found an amazing alternative. A guy played the first 3 years and uploaded them to YouTube. This brings back so many memories and yes, I watched 9 hours of someone playing my favourite pc games :D. If you miss these games too I highly recommend checking out his channel here.

Another favourite of mine this month was the musical ‘Tanz der Vampire’. I saw it for the third time and had such an eventful and amazing evening. Be sure to check all my Tanz der Vampire themed post out here.

Of course I’ve been listenting to the soundtrack of the musical Tanz der Vampire non-stop. There are so many amazing songs and I just want to see the musical again for so bad.

But I’ve also been loving the song ‘When did your heart go missing’ by Rooney. Such a cheerful song, love it!

And that’s it! Please let me you know what you’ve been loving this past month in the comments.
